Our very own Lioness just won its virgin race under Lion Sailing ownership. The boat raced in the 2026 EDLU race, hosted by Larchmont Yacht Club. With weather ranging from sunshine and light breeze to rainstorms, the boat finished 3rd in Line Honors, correcting to 1st place over all divisions and winning their division (by 1h12min). The team won the Wilfred Kluss trophy for the best corrected time in Division II, Edlu Trophy for the best time-adjusted performance in the judgment of the Race Committee, and the Fresh Face Trophy for the highest-performing yacht that has not previously sailed in the EDLU.
